20th Annual Juried Art Show and Reception Set for April 24 at Kiesel Park

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Auburn Arts Association and Auburn-Opelika Tourism, invites the community to attend the 20th annual Juried Art Show and Preview Reception on Thursday, April 24, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Historic Nunn-Winston House at Kiesel Park. Held in conjunction with Auburn CityFest 2025, the event will feature a diverse selection of works by regional artists in a variety of fine art mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and works on paper.

Presented by the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation, the Auburn Arts Association, and Auburn-Opelika Tourism, the exhibition is open to artists ages 18 and older from Alabama and neighboring states. Each artist may submit one work in their chosen medium. The entry fee is $35 and must be paid upon registration through the City of Auburn’s MyRec online registration system. However, the entry fee is waived for those with exhibitor booths at Auburn CityFest. Artists should visit www.auburncityfest.org and select the “Juried Art Show” tab to complete their registration. Displayed works will be available for purchase, and up to $1,000 in merit awards will be presented during the reception, including two $250 Special Awards sponsored by Auburn-Opelika Tourism. The event will also feature live music by local artist Wynn Christian and refreshments provided by Birdie’s Cup and Saucer. All submitted works will be on display during Auburn CityFest on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nunn-Winston House.

Entry forms, fees and submitted artworks are due by Monday, April 21. Artwork may be delivered to the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, located at 222 E. Drake Ave., from April 14–18, or to the Nunn-Winston House on April 21 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Nunn-Winston delivery date is preferred.
